KAIZEN: Embracing continuous improvement for a better future
Innovative projects aiming at the continuous improvement of SEKISUI. This is what KAIZEN is about (KAIZEN = change for better). KAIZEN is integral to SEKISUI’s culture, a defining philosophy that inspires to constantly evaluate, refine and progress.
Every year, the best ideas from all SEKISUI companies are presented in the KAIZEN convention and teams are competing against each other. The 14th edition of the European KAIZEN convention was packed with powerful ideas, sustainable improvements and innovative progress.
This year, the event took place at the Grand Hotel Valies in Roermond, Netherlands. Four teams competed to present their projects aimed at protecting the environment, reducing waste, improving production processes and team communication while enhancing business performance.

SEKISUI S-LEC Resin Plant is now invited to Japan, to the headquarters of SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO. LTD, alongside the other winning teams from each area – Japan, North America / Mexico, China and Southeast Asia. They will all participate in the global KAIZEN convention in Kyoto, Japan, in January 2025. Good luck to them!
The 9-step wheel of Continuous Improvement
KAIZEN, the practice of continuous improvement, is a crucial part of SEKISUI’s company culture – aiming to create a corporate culture of daily improvement, raising the growth of each employee. KAIZEN can be referred to different activities and involves employees of all areas and hierarchy levels.
