About us

SEKISUI S-LEC B.V. in Roermond is part of SEKISUI S-LEC EUROPE B.V., which in turn is part of SEKISUI CHEMICAL Co. Ltd, the Japanese chemical company.
SEKISUI S-LEC is the producer of PVB interlayer film and produces in six locations around the world. 
The PVB interlayer film has applications in so-called laminated glass in the automotive and architectural industries. SEKISUI S-LEC uses two production locations to supply its own required raw materials, namely the PVB resin.
The production location in Roermond started in 1996 and consists of a sales department, administrative department, technical department, and a production department division.
Approximately 145 employees are active within Roermond, 50% of whom are direct staff.

The position

As (Junior) Functional Application Manager ERP you are (partly) responsible for optimal use of the ERP system (and custom applications) and its effect on business processes. 
We are currently in the middle of a migration process that started 1.5 years ago where we are switching from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to SAP S/4 Hana. 
This involves not only renewing the ERP, but also putting the business processes under the microscope. This position has been classified in salary scale 10. This position is performed on a day shift. In this position, you will report to the SAP Project Manager. 

Your duties and responsibilities are threefold with the primary focus being on the project: 

1. Project-based tasks

  • You will participate in the implementation of the new ERP system by developing, testing, configuring and training users;
  • Developing and improving business applications together with our headquarters in Japan, external consulting, software vendors ( custom applications & external applications) and key users.

2. General duties

  • Functional management of system configuration;
  • Performing fit-gap analysis;
  • Develop training materials and work instructions;
  • Master data management ERP & other applications;
  • Monitoring interface processes;
  • Problem solving;
  • Point of contact for colleagues from various departments, such as logistics, purchasing, sales and finance;
  • Include users in the changes that the implementation of an ERP system entails.

3. Connecting pin

  • Act as a linking pin between the local organization and the head office where you weigh the interests between both stakeholders.

Your profile

  • HBO working and thinking level;
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a production environment. This is a strict requirement to be able to fill this position properly. In addition, it is important that the new employee is familiar with the implementation of long-term projects and the associated dynamics;
  • Excellent knowledge of business processes, above and beyond departments;
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP systems (SAP S/4 Hana);
  • Affinity with master data management;
  • Preferably a financial background;
  • Excellent language skills in Dutch and English;
  • Prepare to work in a rapidly changing environment;
  • No 9 to 5 mentality given the nature, dynamics and time investments that this project entails.
