The Financial & Business Controller reports directly to the Managing Director. The position is scaled into scale 12.
About us
SEKISUI POLYMATECH EUROPE B.V. in Roermond, the Netherlands, produces thermal interface materials for electric vehicles. The location consists of 4 departments: Administrative department including Finance, Production department, QESH department and Sales & Marketing department. The Financial department consists of 1 Financial & Business Controller and 1 Accounting Employee who also partly works for SEKISUI EUROPE B.V.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning & Control: Oversee the timely delivery of management information, budget control, and monthly cost analyses. You'll be advising department managers on ways to optimize operations and improve financial performance.
- Financial Accounting & Reporting: Take responsibility for an efficient and effective monthly closing process, ensuring financial reports are accurate and compliant with IFRS/S-GAAP and NL-GAAP standards. Your insights will drive the financial strategy of the business.
- Cash Management & Financing: Ensure seamless cash flow by managing incoming and outgoing payments, and contribute to the financial structure that supports business growth.
- Tax Compliance: Take charge of VAT, corporate tax returns, and other compliance obligations across multiple countries. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that all tax and social insurance activities are managed accurately.
- Operational Leadership: Lead a small team, shape operational financial activities, and stay on top of the latest developments, laws, and regulations.
What we’re looking for:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an international production environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, international accounting standards (preferably IFRS), and external reporting.
- Expertise in ERP systems, particularly SAP.
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
