Job description

This versatile and varied job of Engineer is a part of the Technical Section and requires a
person with passion for technology that likes to think and work ‘out of the box’; innovation
is key!

In this job, in a customer focussed environment, you contribute to the development of new
products and technology, but also improve current products and processes. Further on,
you support the Global Engineering Center (GEC) in Japan.

You analyse production and process data in order to come to new ideas, innovations
and/or improvements. Next to this, you discuss/ communicate opportunities/ alternatives
with the Technical Manager and/or the GEC. You prepare, introduce and role out this
internally.

For the sake of implementation, you set up project plans including method, planning,
budget and other requirements. You actively follow up and adjust projects that are
currently executed.

Required Skills and Experience

  • You have an educational background on bachelor level relevant for this job, preferably
    supplemented with experience in a similar position in industrial organization.
  • It is beneficial if you have experience with similar processes related to producing film, like film
    forming related equipment, process & technology.
  • Good knowledge and command of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency of the English language is required.
  • Experience/ knowledge of systems for research methods, product- and/or process innovation is preferred.
  • As a person you are able to start from scratch; hands on, practical, realistic, useful.
  • You are able to act as a sparring partner and you are an excellent communicator.
